Laser Measurement and Projection in One

The ProCollector provides fast data acquisition without mistakes. With the use of the ProCollector, inaccurate measures and transposed digits while writing the data are a thing of the past. Also project points from an existing CAD drawing to mark locations on a workpiece or show layouts in a building space.

The laser projectors can be operated on mobile tracks by radio remote control and can work continuously from every direction in the room. Projection color of the laser is red or green. The laser dot is moved at high speed in two directions (x, y) so fast that the eye sees a fixed image. The dust – sealed projectors work even in harsh environments.

Using the ProCollector is easy and intuitive. Quickly create accurate templates of 2D surfaces or 3D environments by simply pointing the laser target and clicking a button. The coordinate is captured automatically and stored. On a flat surface only two measuring points per line are necessary. The software calculates the corners to complete intersecting lines.

The ProCollector is wirelessly controlled with the help of the compact and handy ProCommander. The sturdy and ergonomic ProCommander allows eight hours working time on a single battery charge. The easy-to-read touchscreen shows the measuring data in realtime as points are collected. The integrated thumbwheel and joystick make it easy to control the ProCollector’s movement and steer the laser target. The finished design is stored as DXF file and can be transferred immediately into your CAD program for further processing. The generated CAD drawing or any other DXF file can also be projected by the device onto a workpiece or building surface and used as a layout tool.

With the ProCollector CAD designs can be projected point by point in full 1:1 scale on a workpiece or a building.

Open a DXF drawing on ProCommander handheld controller and calibrate to the workplane you wish to lay out. Matching a reference line in the design to two known points in the room locks the ProCollector to your work environment. From there, tap a point in the drawing on the ProCommander’s touchscreen and the laser light will be directed to that point. Work around the drawing point by point to lay out bottom plates for stud walls, locate doorways and window locations, mark electrical outlets and plumbing runs.

Any point in the drawing can be located by the laser giving you a powerful full scale layout device, eliminating inaccurate hand measurement, triangulation, and string lines. One person can layout a space that would normally require two workers with traditional methods.

The ProCollector can also be used as a total templating solution by using it to measure in the field and reproduce the measurements in the shop.
